What it is

One place for everything you track about your bird

Keeping a bird well means holding a lot in your head at once. Has the weight moved, in grams, since last week? Did this morning's droppings look different? Is this food safe? When was the last avian vet exam? Did anyone give the evening dose? Where is the invoice for the insurance claim? Is that new clicking sound worth a call to the vet?

ParrotSense holds all of it. It works like an operating system for a bird: one profile at the center, and every tool, from listening to diet, daily checks, medications, the care list and records, hanging off it. On your iPhone or iPad, a tap or two from home.

Seven areas, one app

Every part of keeping a bird, not one slice of it

Each area is a working set of tools. Tap any one to see what it does and where its limits are.

The dashboard

Your bird at a glance: photo, species, weight in grams, a one-tap record button, what care is due, and six status tiles. Every tool is a tap or two from here.

  • Four plain states per tile; no data reads "Not logged", never "fine"
  • Vet exam, beak and nails, cage, activity, droppings, water
  • Medications due, plus egg, feather and weight strips when you turn those tools on

Bird sounds

Record a call, song or talking, add what you see, and get the likely meaning, how sure the app is, what to do next and when to call your avian vet. Bird calls do not translate into words, so every reading is a possibility, never a fact.

  • Single Bird and Bird Dialogue modes
  • Everyday, Left alone and Breathing / health sessions
  • What to do next, and when to call your avian vet

Nutrition & feeding

A daily diet guide for your bird's species group, with shares of pellets, vegetables, fruit, seeds and nuts. A 168-item safety checker that works offline. A slow seed-to-pellet switch. A fresh-mix builder from the safe-food list.

  • Shares, never gram amounts
  • 168 foods, plants, home hazards and medicines
  • If it is not listed, that is not a yes
Learn more

Health log

Weight in grams, droppings, fresh water, daily breathing and posture checks, and medications. Droppings, water and daily checks each end in a plain next step.

  • A warning at a 10% change from your bird's own baseline
  • Droppings logged as feces, urates and urine
  • Plain verdicts, from nothing flagged to avian vet now
Learn more

Care & routines

Avian vet exams, weigh-ins, nails, beak checks, baths, cage and bowl cleaning, perches, toys, light and sleep, in one due list. Plus an activity log and four checklists.

  • Yearly exams, every 6 months for a senior bird
  • You can edit every item, and your avian vet's word wins
  • New bird, bird-proofing, travel carrier, emergency kit
Learn more

Conditions

Three tools for bird problems: egg laying, with the signs of egg binding; feathers, with a damage and molt log; and weight and liver, which keeps your weight trend and a short yes or no home check to show your avian vet.

  • Egg binding is an emergency, and the screen says so
  • Medical causes come first for feather damage
  • A scale cannot diagnose fatty liver, and the screen says so

Records & backup

A vet report for the last 14, 30 or 90 days, a folder for vet documents, an insurance claim organizer with CSV export, and a one-file backup.

  • Stored on your device, not our server
  • CSV export for insurer forms
  • Still yours to view and export if a plan lapses

How it works

Why trust it

Anyone can say "complete". Here is what backs it up.

Sources, not guesses

The guidance comes from sources such as the Merck Veterinary Manual, the Association of Avian Veterinarians and university vet schools. Where no source gives a number, the app does not make one up: no gram portions, no daily minute goals. Some care intervals are our own suggestions, and your avian vet's word always wins.

AI reads the sound. Rules do the rest.

AI is used to read a call. The safety checker, the health log verdicts and the vet report are fixed rules and tables, with no AI in the answer. Emergency warnings are fixed text, so they still show if an analysis fails.

Works with no signal

Logs, records, the diet guide and the safety checker all run on your device. Analyzing a call is the part that needs the internet.

Built to be fair

Your records stay viewable after a lapse. A care program opens every tracking tool at no charge for owners struggling with vet bills. Say no to AI and the health tools still work.

One app, not several

Your bird's whole routine, packed into one app

Rather than paying for several separate apps, keep it together in ParrotSense: what a call may mean, what to feed, what is safe, weight in grams, droppings, daily checks, medications, the care calendar, egg and feather logs, and vet records.

$4.17 a month on the annual plan, with every tool included.

Made for birds

Tools built around how birds get sick

Birds hide illness until late, so a calm call or a good-looking day never proves a bird is well. These tools watch for change from your own bird's normal.

A droppings log

Log feces, urates and urine apart, the three parts of a dropping. Each sign gets a plain verdict, and blood means avian vet now. The app asks about look-alikes such as berries or moist food, and a change that stays goes to the vet.

Learn more

Breathing and tail-bob checks

Count resting breaths from a distance and tap what you see. Tail bobbing with each breath or open-beak breathing at rest means go to an avian vet now. A normal count never proves your bird is well, and there is no heart rate or temperature to take at home.

Learn more

Egg laying

A dated egg log, prompts to talk to your avian vet about repeat laying, and the signs of egg binding: straining, a swollen belly, or a fluffed, sleepy bird that could be laying. That is an emergency. Never try to remove an egg at home.

Learn more

Feathers

Log chewed tips, bare patches and molts by body area. The app points you to your avian vet at the first sign of damage, because medical causes have to be ruled out first. It also has first aid for a broken blood feather.

Learn more

Seed to pellets, with weight checks

Birds can starve rather than switch, so the plan is slow: steps of about two weeks, with weight and droppings check-ins. The app says keep going, hold, go back a step, or stop and call your avian vet. It will not start the plan for a sick or underweight bird.

Learn more

Fumes and home hazards

The safety checker covers plants, medicines and home hazards as well as food. Fumes from non-stick pans, smoke, sprays or candles can kill birds quickly, even if your bird looks fine: move your bird to fresh air and go to a vet now.

Every species on the list

From a finch to a macaw

Pick your bird's species and life stage, from chick to senior. The diet guide follows the species group, and a senior bird's exam moves to every 6 months on the care list. A budgie and a macaw do not get the same answer with a new label.

A sick bird should never come down to money

ParrotSense gives you information and organization, not a diagnosis. Health facts come from published veterinary sources and, for typical sizes, species databases. Where advice is our own, we say so. Your avian vet is always the authority.
